Tesla on Thursday said it is issuing a voluntary global recall of 53,000 of its vehicles to fix a parking brake problem.
Model S and Model X cars built between February and October of 2016 may contain a faulty gear that could prevent a car's parking brake from being released, the company said in a statement on its website. The company’s stock price dipped about 3 percent on the news of its biggest recall to date.
