Pretty soon after Columbus Business First published Dublin's pay database for 2017, one very confused reader emailed me.
"One detail that caught my attention is the hours logged in a given year," he wrote. "In particular, some employees reportedly worked over 4,300 hours in 2017."
And that greatly confused me. I went back to the database, filtered by hours worked and found that 4,300 wasn't a typo or an anomaly. Workers' totals went far higher. In fact, a man named Adam Parker topped the list…
