Suspect dies, officer OK after police-involved shooting in north Columbus

A suspect has died after exchanging gunfire with police in north Columbus Thursday evening.According to Columbus police, officers were responding to a fight of two men fighting near a hotel in the 4800 block of Sinclair Road.Police were not able to find anyone and decided to run some license plates in the area. One of those plates came back for an active warrant for kidnapping.Officers began to knock on doors at the hotel. The suspect came out of the hotel and fired shots.Columbus police say all five officers returned fire.The suspect was shot and taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition where they passed away.Authorities have not identified the suspect other than saying they were 28 years old.Two guns were recovered from the scene.One...
