It turns out Olde Towne East will have to wait a little longer for its first brewery.
Gemut Biergarten Wednesday morning announced plans to open at 11 a.m. on Aug. 16 at 734 Oak St., but has since walked those plans back.
Citing "unforeseeable circumstances," the brewery said the opening is postponed until further notice.
When the brewery does open, it will be in a building with a lot of character and history. The former fire house also once was home to the Columbus Music Hall.
