You're now officially entitled to give the evil eye to any people riding rental scooters around on sidewalks – at least for the time being – as Columbus has announced some preliminary rules.
That comes after City Attorney Zach Klein had said scooter drivers could legally weave around pedestrians given the lack of laws dealing with the rentable two-wheelers and dockless bicycles.
But no more.
Mayor Andrew Ginther's administration is setting these "emergency" rules until City Council acts:
