The Richland County Sheriff's Office says a man was mistakenly released from the Richland County jail Tuesday.Cornelius J. Phillips was released at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Upon leaving the facility, video showed Phillips heading south from the jail.Surveillance footage from a nearby building was used to establish that Phillips may have been picked up by an individual driving a blue Hyundai Sonata.The United States Marshall Service, local law enforcement and the Ohio State Highway Patrol are working to locate Phillips. A warrant has been issued for escape with the authority to arrest nationwide.Phillips should be considered armed and dangerous. If spotted, call 911 immediately.
