The redevelopment of the University City shopping center will not include a Kroger Co. store.
The Cincinnati-based grocer Thursday said its 56-year-old store at 2913 Olentangy River Road and its nearby fuel center will close at 5 p.m. Oct. 16.
Kroger (NYSE:KR) said the property owner declined to extend the lease. The store’s 63 employees will be offered jobs elsewhere in the 121-store Columbus division.
