In a new study that shows where children grow up affects their income as adults, the Census Bureau classifies Columbus as a city with low job growth and poor upward mobility.
In fact, the study found no association between children's future earnings and rates of job or wage growth in a city. The strongest predictor of those future earnings was where kids live – their neighborhoods.
