COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Board of Education has approved the appointment for a new board member to fill a vacant seat for a short term.Dominic Paretti resigned from the board last month after a report that he left his position as a legislative aide for Rep. Janine Boyd due to sexual harassment complaints.Bryan Steward will fill the seat on a short-term basis, the district announced Tuesday night.Although no specific length of time has been set for Steward’s time on the board, the district said it is not expected to last longer than the end of November.Steward, who has said he is not seeking a permanent seat on the board, has served on the board in the past.He was first appointed in 2009 to fill an unexpired term and was elected again in 2011...
