Happy Friday morning, Columbus.
When I was a young reporter for The Dispatch, I used to park east of the Main Library and hike the 12 or so minutes into work.
Sure, there were plenty of lots and garages closer to the newspaper on Capitol Square, but parking was free in the neighborhood between Town Street and Franklin Avenue and Washington Avenue and Lester Drive.
No meters. No lots. Just residential street parking.
And one of the best parts of my late afternoons was walking to my car after work…
